First of all, let me say, you know your spouse better than I do. That said, the 9th wedding anniversary 'theme' so to speak differs if you are going for a traditional gift or a modern take on it. For the Traditional gift it should be made of Pottery or China. On the Modern side of things...Leather. I guess you could (or in some cases, should) cover your bases and get all three. For fear of offending you or others here, I'll keep my personal suggestions on leather to myself. I did find a website to hopefully help you along... findgifts.com.
